This study aimed to diagnose the disease process configured as chronic and terminal cancer, as well as their peculiarities. We analyzed the perception that cancer patients in palliative treatment of their disease and have to use strategies in relation to death that this condition brings. We observed different views about the terminal, among which the denial of death was the most prominent issue that has received over the lines. Finally, we emphasize the need for reflection to a greater realization of longer term studies on this subject with the purpose of enabling the strengthening of bonds therapeutic, providing the opportunity also to carry out an adequate psychological support in the process of illness and bereavement.
