CHAGAS, Luciana Ferreira  and  MORETTO**, Maria Lívia Tourinho. The sexual violence and the repetition:: the importance of the secrecy function for the psychoanalytic clinic and the treatment at the health institution. Rev. SBPH [online]. 2013, vol.16, n.2, pp. 54-72. ISSN 1516-0858.

This article will present the psychoanalytic clinic in a public hospital, with adult women affected by sexual violence in childhood, which kept the experience as a secret and came to the hospital with some illness. At first, we will present the obtained results, pointing out the story of life about sexual violence, difficulties arising from the event and current presence of psychopathological symptoms, as well as our clinic which has shown that the maintenance of secrecy, often returns in the body as symptom and repetition, reporting the unsaid. In a second moment, our goal in this article is to highlight the importance of listening to the "secret" in order to treat woman who has lived this experience in childhood, not only in private practice but in health institutions, betting that the quality of psychological assistance offered is directly related to the clinical understanding of the secrecy function as a probable maintenance of a subjective position that may not be revealed. For this, we will make an articulation of sexual violence, secrecy and psychoanalysis.
