IMANISHI, Helena Amstalden  e  SILVA, Lucieli Lopes da. Despersonalization in hospitals: the mirror stage as theoretical operator. Rev. SBPH [online]. 2016, vol.19, n.1, pp. 41-56. ISSN 1516-0858.

This article aims a theoretical link between Lacan's concept of mirror stage and the depersonalization phenomenon in hospitalized patients. Through a theoretical assay, it was possible to analyze the underlying dynamics of depersonalization in hospitalized patients and the similarity of these phenomena to the process of identification and constitution of self, as advocated by Lacan's theory. Our analyzes indicate that the depersonalization in the hospital environment can be understood as the condition of alienation and subjection to the Other, described by Lacan in the mirror stage
