Child cancer is a very feared diagnosis by all families. It carries itself a series of changes and fantasies, like fear of death, hospitalization and the break of the family dynamic. The goal of this study was to acknowledge the brazilian psychology scientific production with the aim to articulate them with our experience on a university extension project. The data collection was obtained in the portal Períodos Eletrônicos em Psicologia, using multiple terms and combinations. After the survey of twenty two articles published in the last ten years (2004-2014), a categoric analysis was made, creating four tematic and subtematic categories. The interventions had the aim, in general, to produce creative spaces, capacitating the psychological elaboration and sharing of experiences concerning childhood cancer. Furthermore, it was evidenced the importance of a multidisciplinary team with the goal to enable the existence of a humanization contact and the comprehensiveness of the patient as a biopsychosocial being.
