In this work the limits and possibilities to interprofissional acting of multidisciplinary residents of residency multiprofessional in the hospital setting are discussed. A participatory, qualitative and exploratory approach research took place, with data collected through interviews conducted with the residents of the practical hospital, which emphasizes the care of critically ill cardiopulmonary patients. The results collected were organized into three categories, namely: understanding of multiprofessionality and interprofessionality; activities of residents in the hospital setting; and strategies for integral care. The participants related the concept of the terms to the importance of communication and exchange of knowledge among professionals and considered that the division of labor in the hospital interferes in the interprofissional acting. Also pointed working together, expanded vision and scientific basis as strategies for integral care.
