Abstract

OLIVEIRA, Flavia Lana Garcia de; SANTOS, Tania Coelho dos; DIAS, Mariana de Sá Freire Medrado  and  CARVALHO, Patrícia Barros de. Psychoanalysis applied with professionals in a hospital institution, the affections and the real dimension of the Other. Rev. SBPH [online]. 2019, vol.22, n.spe, pp. 157-173. ISSN 1516-0858.

This article was based on the report of some experiences of applied psychoanalysis, developed by Tania Coelho dos Santos as a research project with support of the CNPq budget. It consisted in the development of a clinical-institutional device to address the mental disorders of employees that allowed us to elucidate and intervene in individual and collective conflicts in a hospital environment. Nowadays, the hospital as an institution, as well as the family institution, no longer has the traditional references. These have become destabilized and have taken on new forms. Acting in this institutional environment required us to reveal how the hierarchy, the symbolic authority, and the fantasies of affiliation and belonging in postmodern times marked by the hegemony of consumerist capitalism work.

Keywords : applied psychoanalysis; general hospital; orientation to the real.
