Abstract

Colorectal cancers is one of the world's top causes of cancer. Its treatment leads to a surgery with biopsychosocial impact on the life of the patient. Objective: to realize a systematic review about cognitive and psycho-social intervention strategies in patients with colorectal cancer in randomized clinical trials. Method: a systematic review research was made in the following data bases, PubMed, Embase, Cochrane, Lilacs, Scopus, Web of Science, PsycInfo e SciELO, using keywords "colorectal neoplasms", "psychology", "colostomy", "ostomy" e "surgical stomas". Results: 308 abstracts were found, with 11 studies being analyzed, but only 3 were eligible for the research. Through the analysis of independent judges, the objective, the sample, the experiment and the outcome were evaluated. There were few studies on cognitive intervention in the field of memory and psychoeducation through multimedia focused on self-care. Conclusion: Psychology is an important contribution in a multidisciplinary and / or interdisciplinary context in cognitive and / or psychoeducational intervention with the use of multimedia tools.
