The objective of this article was to execute a systematic review on symptoms of depression, anxiety and family relations of obese children. A bibliographic research was carried out by means of the electronic search of articles listed in scientific study databases SciELO (Scientific Electronic Library Online), Academic Google, Bireme, PubMed, Medline, Rbone and Ibpefex, using the terms "childhood obesity", "depression", "anxiety" and "family relations". The research included the period from 2003 to 2019. Childhood obesity reaches even higher levels and its occurrence in this specific public has been a matter of great concern in the area of health. This article emphasized the childhood obesity and its psychological consequences, such as anxiety and depression, considering the influence of the environment, especially family relations. The relevance of the topic and the importance of the prevention of childhood obesity are also highlighted.
