Abstract

ANDERY, Maria Carolina Rissoni et al. Psychologists' grief experiences within institutions. Rev. SBPH [online]. 2020, vol.23, n.1, pp. 25-34. ISSN 1516-0858.

We have reflected in this article about the performance of the psychologist inside institutions, considering the challenges and emotional health of the professional in this context. We discuss the topics of formation, the role of the psychologist within multi-professional teams, the nature of the work, the professional's identity, and institutional dynamics, taken as major challenges for their performance. We consider salutary the engagement of the professionals, the regulatory body and the institutions in the construction of working processes oriented towards the health of the parties involved. Due to a scarcity of publications on the subject, it is necessary to have discussions that can make a more dignified job for the category.

Keywords : psychologists; grief; professional identity; occupational stress; societies.
