Abstract

LIMA, Patrícia do Socorro Nunes Pereira; MONTEIRO, Jamile Luz Morais  and  NICOLAU, Roseane Freitas. The statute of the body in the capitalist discourse: a challenge to the psychoanalyst in the hospital. Rev. SBPH [online]. 2020, vol.23, n.2, pp. 25-37. ISSN 1516-0858.

We intend to discuss the statute of the body in the capitalist discourse and its crossing as to the psychoanalyst's place in the hospital institution. To this end, we propose a theoretical study based on Freud and Lacan, where we first present the notion of the body for psychoanalysis, emphasizing that it is not restricted to organic materiality and the anatomo-physiological aspect, as it came to conceive modern biomedical discourse, predominant in the hospital. In this context, we address the discursive crossings in relation to the psychoanalyst's place, especially with regard to capitalist discourse, and in the light of Lacan's theory of discourses (Lacan, 1969-1970/1992). Finally, we refer to the challenges of the psychoanalyst in the hospital, to consider his position before the dominant discursive imperatives.

Keywords : body; capitalist discourse; psychoanalyst; psychoanalysis; hospital.
