OTTO, Stephanie Cristin; NUNES, Tayna Nayara  and  BRAGA, Luiz Renato de Moraes. Psychoeducational frame: guidelines for family visitors in Intensive Care Unit. Rev. SBPH [online]. 2020, vol.23, n.2, pp. 102-112. ISSN 1516-0858.

The participation of relatives in the hospitalization of patients in Intensive Care Units (ICUs) is increasing, being necessary to support and inform them. OBJECTIVES: To construct and validate a psychoeducational frame with the purpose of informing the family members who visit the ICU of a public hospital in the State of Paraná in Brazil. METHOD: This is a quantitative-qualitative, empirical, exploratory and descriptive study. For the elaboration and validation of the material we used the Delphi technique, through which we sought the opinion of 35 health professionals. The final project was presented to 30 family members who answered an opinion questionnaire. RESULTS: We performed two evaluative rounds, obtaining 73% approval in the first and 93% in the second. After approval of the team the project was presented to families who considered the frame as a major help for the visit. CONCLUSION: The psychoeducational framework was considered pertinent and effective by the unit team and family members.
