Abstract

MAIA, Adriana Oliveira Bringel  and  GUIMARAES NETO, Armante Campos. Resilience of health professionals in face of COVID-19. Rev. SBPH [online]. 2021, vol.24, n.1, pp. 147-161. ISSN 1516-0858.

With the new pandemic, generated by the new coronavirus, the resilience of health professionals has become a topic of great relevance to health. The well-being of these professionals directly affects the health of the general population. However, it is a topic little discussed because it is still very recent. In this sense, the objective of this study was to carry out a bibliographic review in order to present an overview of the studies developed about the resilience of health professionals in face of COVID-19. Thus, the formal aspects were analyzed and categorized, as well as the content of the researched studies. As a result, 1193 articles were found related to the proposed theme and, after reading the abstracts and taking into account inclusion and exclusion criteria, only 11 articles were selected, which were analyzed in detail throughout this study. It was concluded that it was extremely important to address this issue, as the damage to the mental health of health professionals must be considered, especially in times of pandemic, balancing factors that lead to the development of greater resilience.
