The research had as aim to give characteristics on the patients who had psychological assistance in the school-clinic at the São Francisco University - São Paulo Campus, during the period from 1995 to 2000, according to their gender, age group, educational level, adhesion to the treatment to the patients who had the service and complains present for children and teenagers It was carried out through a documented retrospective methodology, done by consulting the clinical files and the selected records. From the 590 patients, 42% were from the group aged between 4 and 14 years old, 7,5% between 15 and 19 years old and 50,5% were above 20 years old. The main points in this research are concentrated on the creation of specific services, which will cope with the demand on the psychological assistance field related to the diverse age groups, especially the teenagers and elderly people.
