The aim of this study was to search for validity evidences for the Teste Pictórico de Memória. The test was applied to 436 individuals, 182 male and 254 female students, ages between 10 and 60, all of them attending second-grade classes from elementary school to college. Both tests Teste Pictórico de Memória and Teste de Raciocínio Inferencial were applied. The results presented correlations varying from 0,19 to 0,44 for the three environments that compose the Teste Pictórico de Memória, and correlations varying from 0,40 to 0,56 when considering the total test punctuation. As for the extreme groups, the individuals with discharge and low punctuation in the Teste de Raciocínio Inferencial presented differences in the four measures of the Test of Memory. In this sense, evidences of validity of competitive criteria for extreme groups were verified for the Teste Pictórico de Memória.
