The business world has changed due to the economical, political and technological globalization. As a consequence of changes in the work environment, individuals can experiment difficulties regarding their abilities to adapt. The coaching program aims at helping individuals to develop new attitudes and competences in the achievement of the organizational targets. The coaching process is based on the evaluation of the individual performance as well as on his/her difficulties in relationships. The aim of the current study is to show the importance of evaluating the individual adaptive efficacy as well as the stage of change at the beginning of an executive coaching program, as criteria to planning the strategies of intervention to be adopted along the process.
