This study aimed to understand the perspective of teachers concerning the violation of children's and adolescents' rights, based on theoretical-epistemological relation between the guarantee of human rights and bioethics. Twenty teachers from public schools in Santa Maria (RS) were part of the study. An interview and a demographic and labor questionnaire were used. Among the results, it is highlighted that most of the teachers have already faced children's and adolescents' rights violation. Physical violence was identified the most and the ways of coping with it were to access Children Services and to inquire the people responsible for the children. An impasse was established regarding the accusation, presenting a bioethical dilemma. Most of the teachers was engaged in the problem. However, they felt unprepared and insecure to act considering violation situations lived on school. Therefore, capacitation programmes on violation of the rights of children and adolescents are discussed.
