Abstract

Sexual abuse of children/adolescents (SAC) has integrated current clinical practices and the cinema, which makes it visible and exposes in its subjective and social implications, favors their discussion. The objectives were to analyze commercial films/fictional about SAC, produced between 2001/2010 (N = 21), to characterize how they are filmed, environments/contexts where they occur, victims, offenders, repercussion of cases and to discuss contributions to clinical training. The titles were searched in databases specialized in film and along with psychologists who use film in the educational process. Analysis criteria were predetermined and movies were systematically analyzed. Dramatic gender and U.S. citizenship prevailed. The SAC has been portrayed by means of explicit performances, in general, occurred in public places, with children, offender was close to the victim. The films analyzed are similar to the specialized literature on SAC's topics and requires the viewer's emotional condition to elaborate situations of intense psychic content.
