MANSANO, Sonia Regina Vargas. Urban space, nature and social relations: for an affective sustainability. Psicol. teor. prat. [online]. 2016, vol.18, n.1, pp. 49-59. ISSN 1516-3687.

The issue of sustainability has been discussed in various social spheres like governments, public and private organizations, and universities; to a large extent the debate gets space in conversations in the everyday life of ordinary people. It is noticeable that in the last century the concern with nature across the borders of countries and won global relevance, being widely debated at international conferences. In this theoretical research, sought to examine the interface between nature and social relations lived in urban space. For this purpose, sought to develop conceptually the notion of “affective sustainability”, showing that the concern with nature involves, necessarily, the affective relationships that build towards the environment, but also in relation to people, knowledge and ways of life. As a result, it can be said that the cities are faced with a great challenge: look at the ways of living that are updated.
