Abstract

DE-CAMPOS, Flávia Sollero  and  WINOGRAD, Monah. I am my body: the Freudian concept of ego and the Damasina concept of self. Nat. hum. [online]. 2010, vol.12, n.1, pp. 1-30. ISSN 1517-2430.

As object of theoretical research, we selected the concept of Ego in Freud´s work and of Self in Damasio´s theory for a comparative study, according to the resonances that they have, particularly with regard to the place of the body in its constitution. We are certain that the echoes and the discrepancies found may serve as inspiration for the enrichment of both theoretical research fields, saved their specificities epistemological
