The behavior of birds (Pitangus sulphuratus, Coereba flaveola and Thraupis sayaca) consuming palm trees fruits in an urban area is described. P. sulphuratus swallowed whole fruits; C. flaveola perforated fruits consuming the juice and T. sayaca ingested pieces of the pulp without removing the fruits. P. sulphuratus individuals displaced T. sayaca individuals by vocalizing and persecutions were observed among the specimens of C. flaveola. C. flaveola spent and, T. sayaca and P. sulphuratus were the most selective eating only ripe fruits.
