Collective complexity and individual simplicity. This text does a brief discussion about the possibilities of theoretical understanding about collective behavior. To what extent the emergent characteristics are unique result of self-organizing processes or are dependent on modulation of individual behavior, is the central point of the discussion. Is not precluded any possibility of interpretation, but it is proposed that none of them (individual or self-organized) is unique.
