Abstract

This work aimed at a junction of a literary composition with the psychonalysis theory. The chosen workmanship was " O Conto da Ilha Desconhecida', of Jose Saramago. In that it says respect to the Psychoanalysis, the work if abided by the contributions brought for Sigmund Freud, Jacques Lacan and Luiz Alfredo Garcia-Roza regarding the repetition, one of the main theories of this science. In the first part the description-philosophical passages of the subject of the repetition since its sprouting had been worked, passing for the contributions of the Psychoanalysis until the deflagration of this subject in the current days. It had communications on the subject by means of a theoretical survey. Already in the second part, the work was looked in carrying through a summary on the chosen literary composition. The description was made of practical form, in order to propitiate the reader an idea of that represents this workmanship of Saramago. With this, a attempt is initiated and hypothetical on which aspects treated in its workmanship they could have relation with the Psychoanalysis. The conclusion of that the treated unknown island in the workmanship is, in the reality is arrived then, the island of the desire, an island where the repetition does not exist. In the final part it is had continuity of the quarrel enters the aspects of the workmanship and the terms of the Psychoanalysis. In this part also the final considerations regarding the work meet. Some points had been presented of conclusive form, others, however, they will still have to be investigated more at great length.
