Abstract

DUNKER, Christian Ingo Lenz  and  KYRILLOS NETO, Fuad. Identidade e a degradação da carne. Rev. Mal-Estar Subj. [online]. 2006, vol.6, n.1, pp. 111-124. ISSN 1518-6148.

Modernity is characterized for a double movement in the construction of the body. Its desencantamento and gradual settling as homogeneous space to the nature if make to follow of a reencantamento of its surface as image. In this movement the body appears as first last of the individual ideologicamente naturalized and esteticamente artificializado. The present study it looks for to show as it misticamente has critical elements to the this conception of body that inhabit in the medieval notion of meat, understood as exterioridade. Such notion reappears in Merleau-Ponty and Lacan as form of subversion of the modern dualism. Our objective is to show as the meat reappears in certain experiences limits portraied for the aesthetic contemporary that show the degradation of the body as a form to point out the paradoxalidade of the object that supposedly represents.

Keywords : body; psychoanalysis; identity; modernity; ideology.
