Abstract

MARSILLAC, Ana Lúcia Mandelli de  and  SOUSA, Edson Luiz André de. Sobre as paradoxais fronteiras do corpo. Rev. Mal-Estar Subj. [online]. 2006, vol.6, n.2, pp. 332-344. ISSN 1518-6148.

The present work is an attempt to reflect upon the body's frontier. We understand that don't are staunch, but are labile, constituted through of intricate relationship between body, subjectivity, social's bow and passage of time. Based on the theoretical contribution of psychoanalysis, this work deals with a notion of body in constant movement, through the symbolic constructions and the lability of the images it shows. We visualize a body/subject, intricated with its culture; a mutant body that, paradoxically, is constantly seeking a stable form. We analyzed that the immobility of the body's image tranquilizes the subject in his defensive position. The social games of power aim at conferring a predetermined place to the body, turning it into a docile body. In the contemporary scenario, we are invaded by the logic of the velocity of values, which makes us gradually loose our ability of being affected by the details of life. Through the Art, we highlight the value of past marks, of alterity, and of possible horizons in the constitution of this body/subject in perpetual metamorphosis, but able to recognize itself as One/Singular. We visualize spaces of resistance to velocity, seeking forms that brake with the worrisome mimetism of our time.

Keywords : body; subject; time; art, and contemporaneity.
