Abstract

SOUZA, Mériti de. Narrativas, conhecimento e homem simbólico: entrelaçamentos entre saberes e fazeres. Rev. Mal-Estar Subj. [online]. 2007, vol.7, n.1, pp. 137-161. ISSN 1518-6148.

The dichotomy between knowledge and practice desired by modernity and by its associated scientific paradigm has been discussed in the contemporary scenery taking as a starting point the so-called modern and pos-modern readings. The predominant form of producing subjectivity and knowledge in the contemporary scenery constructs, on the one hand, subjectivities that are believed to be constituted by a conscience capable of purging the affections and controlling the surroundings and itself. On the order hand, we have the production of science based on the assumption of the absolute and true knowledge. To problematize themes that are relevant to these debates and subjacent to those readings is fundamental for the professional practice that is concerned with its critical insertion, since the conceptions mentioned subsume the debate about the symbolic man, the narratives and the conception about the real. In this article, the specific objective is to analyze the anti-realistic and the dissolution assumptions of the identity references concomitant with their reverberations in the subjective and social. Specifically, we have focused the conception about the knowledge act and about the knowing subject and his/her relations to the subjective and cognoscente constitution. Henceforth, those analyses are illustrated from parts of the work carried out with groups in a school and relations are established between the psychological practices and the readings on the subjective constitution and on the knowing subject.

Keywords : knowledge; suffering; narratives; subjectivity; psychological practice.
