This text discusses different conceptions about subjectivity and female body, introduced since the patriarchate period, but imposing its influence until actual days, and analyzes how media influences its constitution, especially today. Its objective is to discuss different body conceptions in many historical and cultural periods, analyzing, in particular, their influences and interferences on the making of woman's body and subjectivity. It also discusses the intensive male domination in patriarchate period and how woman have had her body submitted to man's pleasure and desires. In the same way, this paper authors recognize that, because of different cultural, economical, historical and political transformations, woman have learned to understand her own body, being able to express her pleasure and to consume what she desires, but she is fitted in a body model imposed by capitalist system and media ideology. These changes and their consequences on woman's body and subjectivity receive especial attention in this article.
