After a previous investigation about the subject of the labor in Freud's works, we develop in this article an initial exploration on the Lacan's teaching. Guided by the question about the psychoanalyst's labor, we touch the translating problems involved in the German words related to the word "labor" and follow the Lacan's orientations in his seminar about "The technical writings of Freud" and in his text "Function and camp of the speech and the language in Psychoanalysis". Then, we approach the affirmation of Lacan about the analytic work like a discourse, differentiating, in the end, the work of the analyst and the analysant work.
