This paper intends to discuss the Birman's analysis on the Michel Foucault's work "The history of sexuality: An introduction", specifically on the concept of biopolitic and its relation with psychoanalysis. Initially, the Birman's position on the mentioned concept is presented. After/ this, each point of his position is examined and, finally, his ideas are discussed, what/ it/ leds to the confirmation of part of Birman's analysis and to a proposal of the/ enlargement of his consideration about the relation between biopolitic and psychoanalysis.
