Abstract

CASTILHO, Pedro Teixeira. O símbolo que surge com o Pai. Rev. Mal-Estar Subj. [online]. 2008, vol.8, n.2, pp. 407-426. ISSN 1518-6148.

This article shows the trajectory of Lacan, based in Freud, that leads to the deaf experience of the word. Beginning with the funding text of Lacan: The discuss of Rome, the author of the article demonstrates that, the same way that Freud creates the father in his text Totem and Taboo, there also is, in the lacanian teaching, one demonstration of the dead Father from the significant. Therefore, the author shows the mechanic of the significant which is the presence and the absence. It means that the significant becomes the subject of belief in their passions. The conclusion of the author is that the citizen of belief is the one that trusts in passion.

Keywords : word; recognized; presence; absence; passion and belief.
