ROSA, Thyago do Vale  e  CAMPOS, Denise Teles Freire. Psychodynamic aspects in subjects that submitted a bariatric surgery without medical indication. Rev. Mal-Estar Subj. [online]. 2009, vol.9, n.1, pp. 105-133. ISSN 1518-6148.

The occasion of a corporeal preocupation can carry on as a inductive stimulus to the subject to the construction of a narrative about his suffering. Baseg on this assertion the present work investigated the psychodynamic aspects in subjects that submitted to the bariatric surgery without medical indication. The interpretative material is result of two interviews of the clinical type with women that submitted to the stomach reduction surgery. Proceeded the reconstruction of the interviews through the subjective material and transferential that emerged of the condition of the interview and evoked by the subjects when were invited to talk about the experience of overweight and of stomach reduction surgery. From the course of the adopted research, the interviews show that the surgery constitutes as a change trial, in this case of changing his own identity. Although, we must have the caution of saying that respect much more a open via, to the subject, of a change in his life that can or cannot concretize. Differently of a trial of replacing health, or a state of a anterior things (as in the case of the ilness), the persons previously obese search to provoke a true rupture in their own history, search to operate a change in their own inscribed and expressed identity in the visible of theirs bodies.
