Abstract

PIZZIO, Alex. Disqualification and social qualification. Rev. Mal-Estar Subj. [online]. 2009, vol.9, n.1, pp. 209-232. ISSN 1518-6148.

The discussions around the subject of exclusion and its relation with poverty has assumed common place in the politic speech, Medias and the academic field. In this work we show an approach about the questions related with poverty situations and its consequences provoked by the experiences continued of this condition for one expressive part of workers. Nevertheless, as we will see in the following of the text my focus will be centralized in the dynamic of social disqualification and qualification and not the concepts of exclusion/inclusion largely used in contemporary. Between the reasons that support the idea of the realization of an approach centralized in these concepts, we can put in headlight: that the review of the process of social disqualification show a important analytic element, because it can help comprehend as the social structures prevail towards the individuals like constitutive power, shaping ways of subjectification in the same time acting under the psychosocial background of these individuals.

Keywords : social disqualification; social qualification; poverty; stigma; exclusion; inclusion.
