This research is a psychosocial intervention that uses the narrative as a theoretical/methodological tool in story workshops (narratives and tales). The aim of the intervention is to hear the stories of a Center of Psychosocial Care (CAPS)' users and explore new ways to live with the suffering caused by mental disorders. The story workshops are a proposal to work with mental disorder, hearing the voices of those who suffer it in the daily. The groups occur in a space of learning, respect and listening. This space-time of narration allowed the suffering announcement and questioned about what is to be crazy in our society, since there are few social spaces where this event can be explored dialectically. In the six story and narratives workshops occurred in the CAPS, "the mad" held the position of the narrator, the one that metaphor his history and his madness. In the protected space of the group, the narrator could explore other roles and possibilities. The meetings were analyzed according to themes produced by the storytellers, pointing out the questions about the time, death, pain and madness. The storytellers shared experiences and found ways to understand the suffering, in a space where the word and the interpretation were moved, as well as the help and care.
