Sacrifice corresponds to an argument of love. Its exercise which is mostdoes not stop the participation of "Bemachtigungstrieb",drive for power. Although in the sacrifice one surrenders to the Other for his appeasement or complacency, it is surely love for him,there is also a release of jouissance in raising the Evil and destruction to the status of Sovereign Good. The requestfor sacrifice assigned to gods introduces the lack of these supposedly omnipotent entities. Love and gods, both require a persistent provision of sacrifices. The body, under the tyranny of the idealized and exalted image, is exposed to different and renewed sacrifices. And it seems as if no sacrifice is satisfactory. The war can inscribe the rhetoric of sacrificein its heroic pretentious claim or abominable subjection.
