VALE, André Luiz Alexandre do  e  CARDOSO, Marta Rezende. Passage to the violent sexual act: radical defense when facing passivity?. Rev.Mal-Estar Subj [online]. 2012, vol.12, n.3-4, pp. 725-744. ISSN 1518-6148.

This article is dedicated to the analysis of the psychological functioning of individuals who use the passage to the act, sexual and violent. In this analysis, we privilege some fundamental concepts of psychoanalytic theory, in particular, trauma, passivity and helplessness in view of the close ties between them. Relying on this theoretical development, we will maintain the hypothesis that certain men, unable to master the drive excess, eventually unload it through the convening of the body and the appeal to the act, showing significant weakness of the subjectivation processes present in their psyche's framework. These subjects' psyche seems to be marked by a constant demand for manhood, so they find themselves called upon to act against the psychic discomfort that affects them when faced with the threat of the so feared and repudiated femininity / passivity. This threat takes on a "devilish" shape - the deadly "passivation" - before which the only remaining resource is the violent acting, often in the form of sexual assault. As we intend to show the act of sexual assault shows that there are serious problems in the psychic constitution of these subjects, as their ego suffer the threat of disintegration, the loss of its unit. This type of defensive strategy, appealing to the act of violence, works as an extreme attempt to reaffirming narcissistic omnipotence.
