Abstract

MARCOS, Cristina Moreira. The supervision in psychoanalysis in the clinical-school: a brief research report. Rev.Mal-Estar Subj [online]. 2012, vol.12, n.3-4, pp. 853-872. ISSN 1518-6148.

This paper is the final report of a research project entitled "The clinic-school, psychoanalysis and its effects", held from February 2009 to December 2009. Its aim is to understand in more depth the conditions of teaching and of transmission of psychoanalysis in the practice of clinical supervision of internships in undergraduate programs of psychology. This research was supported by the "Fundo de Incentivo à Pesquisa - PUC-Minas". The study of the psychoanalytical clinic transmission, of its ethics and its acts are very important to foment the discussion and reflection around these practices in the psychology graduation course. The data obtained through semi-directed interviews with recently graduated psychologists who had started their clinical practices in university clinics, were analyzed using psychoanalytical parameters. In order to discuss the psychoanalytical training, which takes place at the university through clinical supervision, it is necessary to take into account the various meanings of this experience and its effects on students. The research contributed to reviewing some hypotheses about the effects on students of this internship experience at the psychoanalytically oriented clinic. Some elements crucial for the training are the transfer, the supervision as a place of learning and articulation between theory and clinical practice, the intersection of the clinic with other areas, and the importance of listening, not only the patient, but also the colleagues' reports.
