Abstract

MOTA, Angela Di Paolo. Subjectivity: possible approaches between Freud and Pessoa. Rev.Mal-Estar Subj [online]. 2013, vol.13, n.1-2, pp. 133-154. ISSN 1518-6148.

This paper aims to address our human ways of being (subjectivity) in the interface between Literature and Psychoanalysis. To support this option, two texts of Sigmund Freud were chosen because they specifically address the subject of literary creation: the essay that was translated as Creative writers and daydreaming, of 1907 and The Uncanny, of 1919. The interface with the Literature is located on some parts of the work of Fernando Pessoa, specifically those of his semi-heteronomous Bernardo Soares, in the Livro do Desassossego (2006 edition) and, also, in his poem entitled Autopsicografia, of 1931. The proposal is to present some concepts of Freud and Pessoa at the points where they approach the subject of the constitution of subjectivity, especially regarding the changeability of one another: a proposal to transform the other into himself - a transformation into a poet - a theme underlying both the Freudian texts and the Pessoa writings. Here is the bases that links both Psychoanalysis and Literature, selected fields to dialogue in this text.

Keywords : psychoanalysis; literature; subjectivity; alterity; language.
