Abstract

This article interrogates on the structural elements of political practices in a sample of 300 young people (18 to 30) from Cordoba/Argentina. Three conglomerated were obtained by using a hierarchical cluster analysis of within-groups variables which reflect the categorization of 75% of pure cases: partisanship-trade union participation, communal participation and expressive participation. This taxonomy was validated by a principal components factorial analysis and replicated in a 2003 sample of all age cohorts composed by 278 individuals from Cordoba. Furthermore, the article provides descriptive profiles of the young people from each conglomerate considering socio demographic and attitudinal variables.
