Abstract

The article discusses of praxis in social psychology, highlightning its relationship with the transformation of social and individual conditions. Based on Silvia Lane’s propositions Critical Social Psychology, it argues that this should be at the service of emancipation, developing a critical and creative praxis. Praxis is as a result of movement between theory and practice that takes place as a dialectical process, putting the industry as a possible requirement of theoretical reflection. What is required of a researcher is a commitment to emancipatory processes, with the overcoming of intolerable personal and social situations. The proposal is the claim of a Critical Social Psychology open to new ways of being and acting, concerned with the projects of individual life and the dynamics of social-historical processes.
