Abstract

The health of the man emerges as the issue being studied as risk behavior adopted by the subjects were male often rooted in the dictates of a socially imposed masculinity. It is known that the man does not have prevention methods and they themselves were placed in the margins of public health policies. In an attempt to reverse this situation the Ministry of Health launched the National Health Politics of the Man. This study aimed to assess what men think about the creation of a National Politics oriented men’s health. We analyzed here the understanding of 35 men users of a health service which identified issues relevant to men’s health which may serve as an incentive and not as favorable characteristics when considering a health strategy for men due to maintenance the social behavior of men not taking care of health.
