Abstract

This paper was originated by the contributions of the professor and researcher João Frayse-Pereira, founder of the Laboratory of studies in Psychology of Art (LAPA-USP), who considers the aspects of the French phenomenologist Maurice Merleau-Ponty and the Italian aesthetician Luigi Pareyson's thoughts as part of his development. To this end, it also deals with the critical theory by Max Horkheimer, author from Frankfurt School, in which, departing from the traditional theories, the researcher and the object of study are not separated entities.
