The dialogue between psychology and politics has flourished by psychopolitical studies, and has contributed to the consolidationof political psychology as research field. Émile Tarde's, Gustave Le Bon's, Graham Wallas' and Harold Lasswell's thoughts have greatly influenced this consolidation process. This paper recaptures these and other authors in order to emphasize not only the call for considering the singularity of political actors, but especially the Freudian theory impact on psychopolitical studies. Sigmund Freud, by challenging the Descartes' cogito and proposing the centrality of unconscious aspects at the expense of the conscious ones, has made significant contributions to both the political actors' biographical studies and the ones on crowd phenomena, which are part of the history of political psychology. Aside its proven historical relevance, we believe psychoanalysis as deep psychology can yet collaborate on psychopolitical researches. The social Freudian texts can contribute to this thinking.
