Abstract

EUZEBIOS FILHO, Antonio  and  GUZZO, Raquel Souza Lobo. Psychology and class consciousness "for himself": actions and challenges in the direction of social change. Rev. psicol. polít. [online]. 2015, vol.15, n.33, pp. 255-268. ISSN 1519-549X.

Life under capitalism place in different contexts and situations, concrete obstacles to overcome individualism as a way of life and ideology of the "end of history" In this scenario which calls constantly an ideological clash, at least two issues are key for Psychology, which we will try to answer throughout this work: what we can understand from a political consciousness that, with all the contradictions and historical limits, it is able to fight fatalism? How can we think about the role of Psychology in a given process of social change? To try to answer, minimally, these issues, we support you in Marxist concepts as ideology and class-consciousness. The intention was to find links between certain modes of sociability and political consciousness-making processes. Finally, we seek to question the role of Psychology in promoting social change which points to a socialist society.

Keywords : Conscience; Ideology; Politics; Liberation Psychology; Social Change.
