Abstract

The article proposes preliminary reflections on one of the aims of the doctoral research titled: "Liberated sexuality? Experiences of the conjugal separation, from the narratives of women of the Metropolitan Region of Recife /PE ". This objective is what seeks to historicize the sociocultural context of women and sexuality, in the period of institution of the separation. The proposed reflections will be approached in a genealogical perspective, according to the considerations provoked by the philosopher Michel Foucault, in his work "History of Sexuality 1 - the will to know". In the attempt to trigger such reflections, a piece of work published in the Proceedings of the National Congress of Linguistics and Philology, in 2013; conducted by Barreto and Queiroz, both from the State University of Feira de Santana/BA (UEFS). The fragment refers to the commented synthesis of an action of conjugal separation drawn up in the city of Feira de Santana/BA, in the early twentieth century.
