This article discusses the possibilities of construction of testimonies of state violence as a clinical-political tool within the practice of psychology graduation. The methodological orientation of narratives as politics supported the analysis of a collective experience, articulating the process of witnessing and narrating with writings scenes of situations of rights violation in the Brazilian context. The problematic field of this research is found in different experiences of psi formation involving testimony, amongst which we highlight a project of university extension that works with relatives of adolescents in socio-educational measure. We seek to analyze what elements are at stake for the construction of a testimony of state violence and how to sustain ourpresence as witnesses. Finally, we highlight the ethical exercise of transmission in the public recognition of a collective memory as a strategy to compose a psychology of our time.
