Abstract

CECCON, Roger Flores  and  MENEGHEL, Stela Nazareth. Gender fascism: control, pressure and exclusion of women. Rev. psicol. polít. [online]. 2019, vol.19, n.46, pp. 449-458. ISSN 2175-1390.

This essay discusses the concept of social fascism and seeks its application to gender studies, especially in the analysis of violence, inequities, feminization of AIDS and violations of social rights of women living in scenarios of racist and patriarchal capitalism, in societies that use exploitation, exclusion, abandonment and death as mechanisms of control. We propose a displacement of the original concept, expanding its scope to the inequalities between men and women, which we call gender fascism, characterized as a regime of social relations cemented by asymmetries in the exercise ofpower that produce exclusion, subjugation and female exploitation. It operates through the exclusion of feminine rights and violence as a mechanism of control. The concept contributes to analyze women 's vulnerabilities and to subsidize public policies that dialogue with the real needs of women in Brazilian society.

Keywords : Women; Gender; Fascism; GenderViolence; Humanrights.
