Abstract

SAID, Amanda Pinheiro. Psychosocial intervention with intrafamilial sex offenders: reflections and process evaluation components. Rev. psicol. polít. [online]. 2019, vol.19, n.46, pp. 584-601. ISSN 2175-1390.

The implementation of interventions focusing on child and adolescent's sexual offenders is a recent phenomenon, scarcely studied, especially in Brazil. In this research, the systemic framework was the theory used along with a process evaluation perspective to identify contextual factors, barriers and facilitators for the implementation of an intervention to this public. Interviews were conducted during the second semester of 2017 with professionals of a public health team that offers such intervention. The content analysis of the interviews pointed to the interrelationship between the different contexts, bringing barriers that dialogue between socio-cultural, socioeconomic, ethical, legal and politcal processes. It is considered relevant to disseminate such results, due to the lack of studies focusing on process evaluations in the context of interventions with sexual offenders. Such disclosure may represent a first step towards changes in sexual offender-related beliefs and stereotypes, and, in turn, broaden the implementation and evaluation of interventions of this nature.
