Abstract

GOMES, Marcela de Andrade. CRAS and psychopolitic intervention: the terreiros as a place of belonging, reception and political resistance. Rev. psicol. polít. [online]. 2020, vol.20, n.47, pp. 87-101. ISSN 2175-1390.

This article aims to narrate an intervention carried out by a CRAS (Social Assistance Reference Center) in the city of Florianópolis - SC (Brazil) in partnership with the university, with the terreiros located in the territory of this service. From the notion of territorialization and the use of participant observation, we carried out an intervention referred to as psychopolitics for 1 year, which led us to understand the terreiro as a place of warmth, belonging, reception and political struggle. In this manuscript, we'll discuss the idea that the terreiro favors an affective and political connection between its members, protecting and revitalizing black identity and the Afro-centered worldview, acting as a resistance to the colonial, Eurocentric, white and racist hegemony. We believe that psychology becomes political when it creates interventions that are combative to social inequalities, acting in a creative and inventive way in the potential power to exist and expand the singular and collective subjects.

Keywords : CRAS; Terreiros; Collective Identity.
