Abstract

TRINDADE, Tatiana Siqueira; ROSO, Adriane  and  FREITAS, Deisi Sangoi. Circular dance and politics: inventing worlds. Rev. psicol. polít. [online]. 2020, vol.20, n.47, pp. 204-217. ISSN 2175-1390.

This article proposes to reflect on possible interlacing of the practice of dances with the politics in the interface with certain worldviews. Situated in the area of Social Psychology, from a critical approach, it discusses the relation between dance and science paradigms as well as capitalist liberal, collectivist-totalitarian and communitary-solidary paradigms. Specifically with Hannah Arendt's notion of politics, the article focused on circular dances as a political power. Once the politics proposed by Hannah Arendt is jointly produced in plurality, it is concluded that the experiences of circular dances form possibilities of worldviews by inventing ways of experiencing politics, dances and the world.

Keywords : Social psychology; Circular dances; Worldview; Politics; Hannah Arendt.
