From a psychosocial understanding of violence, as proposed by Liberation Psychology, the present work aims to problematize the gap between the action proposals that constitute the political pedagogical project in the context of public schools and its execution, regarding situations of violence. The aim is to understand how educators from a public elementary school deal with expressions of violence in everyday school life; to analyze the political pedagogical project of the school to identify if they exist and what are the guidelines related to the issue of violence and, finally, to compare these guidelines with observation records of school psychologists, considering their complementarities or divergences.
