GROFF, Apoliana Regina; LEANDRO, Gabriel Carvalho; LOBO, Julia Polizeli y ALVES, Juliana de Oliveira. Bullying as a category of analysis of violence in school context: Epistemological and political effects. Rev. psicol. polít. [online]. 2022, vol.22, n.53, pp. 91-104. ISSN 2175-1390.
The state of knowledge of the academic production of Brazilian psychology on violence and school, published in Brazilian journals in the Scielo and Pepsic database in the last 15 years, covered a total of 101 articles. Of these, 28 articles had bullying as an object of study or as a category studied as a result of the data that emerged from investigations on school violence. Considering that studies on bullying stand out in the state of psychology knowledge about violence and school, the objective of this article is to analyze, from a dialogic perspective, the epistemological and political effects of this scientific production. Our argument is that bullying, as a category of analysis of violence in the school context, has produced the psychologization and individual blaming of violence among students, making invisible the structural violence that constitutes Brazilian society and, consequently, limited actions to prevent and confront the problem of violence in the social and educational field.
